Idaho's remote and rugged Selway
Bitterroot wilderness is a hunter's paradise. The 1.3 million acre site is
home to an abundant population of large and small game.
Since 1932, York Outfitters has led
professionally organized hunts into this area. Our remote (end of the
road) base camp is located on four beautiful acres. We have exclusive
outfitter access to the surrounding 65 square miles of beautiful and
rugged mountains. Some of our hunting is in designated Wilderness areas.
We use well trained saddle horses and pack Mules for much of our hunting.
We have a nationally recognized Guide School in the summer.
We have the choice of different spike camps nestled deep in the big game country all within 3 to 15 miles from our base camp. This gives us the option to select a campsite based on the location of game and prevailing weather conditions.
